New West Symphony is thrilled to present Symphonie Fantastique, a three-part concert event featuring Symphonie Fantastique by Berlioz, the moving orchestral beauty of Elgar’s “Nimrod” Variation, and the highlight of the evening: the 2023 Grammy® Award-winning Philharmonia Fantastique by Mason Bates. Bates’ extraordinary composition is accompanied by a 25-minute animated film that whisks viewers into the intricacies of woodwinds, strings, brass and percussion—revealing how each instrumental family connects to create the power of symphony.
