Rocio Marron
Violin Viola Singer Songwriter String Arranger
After studying performance violin at USC’s Thornton School of Music, Rocio Marron made her mark as an improvising violinist in styles ranging from Country to Mariachi. She recently performed solo violin on “Proud Corazón” from Disney Pixars film “Coco” as well the soundtrack. Rocio has toured with Marc Anthony, Los Lobos, Quetzal; performed with Rihanna, Adam Levine, Stevie Wonder, Blake Shelton, Randy Newman, Lionel Richie, Josh Groban; recorded with The Red Hot Chili Peppers; the list goes on. She has arranged and recorded as musical director for the GRAMMY® Award-winning Mariachi Divas, and she’s been a featured soloist with Ozomatli at the Hollywood Bowl. She has recorded on several Son Jarocho albums including Son De Madera’s “Las Orquestas Del Dia”. Rocio is a current Adjunct Faculty Member of California Lutheran University. She is a former faculty member of the Silverlake Conservatory of Music where she taught violin, viola and Guitar.
