Thank you, Michael, for the beautiful tribute to Ellis Marsalis. He gave us beautiful music and raised his sons to carry on his musical spirit. I also love George Michael’s “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down On Me”. It may not be Mahler’s Second, but it is stillvery moving and inspirational.
Love this, thank you!
In segment 6 of 6, Michael gives a wonderful introduction to Monteverdi’s 1610 Vespers, led by John Eliot Gardner, but the recording did not follow. Otherwise, I have enjoyed the selections and his explanations on all of the jukebox collections.
Thank you, Michael, for sharing your knowledge, wisdom and passion.
