What to Wear
Please check the temperature and dress accordingly for a beautiful Southern California summer day which can swing in temperature from hot to June Gloom. As the entire festival is being held outdoors with a total runtime of approximately 7 hours each day, it is recommended that patrons “dress in layers” in order to remain comfortable as the temperature lowers after sunset. Comfortable flat-bottomed shoes with grip are recommended as high-heeled shoes can be problematic on the lawn and incline of the college campus. Hats, sunglasses, sunblock and other protective gear are also recommended.
When to Arrive
Allow yourself time to park, get through security, ticketing, obtain your wristband and locate your seating area. We suggest you arrive at Moorpark College campus at least 45 minutes before the start of the performance. Food and beverage options will be available for sale beginning when the event gates open at 3:00 PM. There are no ins and outs.

The event is employing a shelter-in-place policy in the unlikely case of an emergency. Shelter-in-place is the act of seeking safety within the area, facility, or building one already occupies, rather than evacuating the area or seeking a community emergency shelter.

Pets
Although we love our fur friends, pets are not permitted at the event.
Service Animals
Animals are prohibited in Summerfest 2023 event areas with the exception of trained service animals and service animals in training for patrons with disabilities. A service animal is defined as any dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of a person with a disability. Pets or emotional support animals are not considered service animals.
Patrons with service animals are solely responsible for control of their service animal. Service animals must remain on a leash or in a harness at all times unless these devices interfere with the service animal’s work or the individual’s disability prevents using these devices. In that case, the individual must maintain control of the animal through voice, signal, or other effective controls. Employees are not permitted to take control of service animals.
Service animals will rest in the seating area of the individual with a disability, rather than in the aisle. If the patron’s seat location is unable to accommodate a service animal, the patron may be reseated to a more accommodating location. Service animals are welcome to use any open outdoor area outside of the lawn seating area for relief as long as the patron picks up after the animal and leaves the area clean.
If a service animal poses a threat to the safety of, or is causing a disturbance for other patrons, performers, or employees, their handlers may be asked to escort the animal off the premises. Patrons with service animals are solely liable for any damage or injury caused by their service animal.
Media Release
