New West Symphony Provides Discounted Tickets to Students and Families
(THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – October 6, 2016) — In keeping with its mission of inspiring passion for symphonic music through live performances and education initiatives, the New West Symphony has announced two subsidized programs offering discounted tickets for students and families throughout the greater Thousand Oaks, Oxnard and Santa Monica communities.
The VIP Family Club provides subsidized tickets for families with children ages 7-13 to attend the 2016-2017 Masterpiece Concert Series. Club members receive specially prepared materials for each concert designed to enhance their experience, as well as the opportunity to meet musicians backstage during intermission. A five-concert subscription is priced at $131 per adult (limit 2) and $55 per child. Individual tickets are priced at $29 per adult and at $14 per child.
The CONNECT! Club offers subsidized tickets for high school and college students to attend the 2016-2017 Masterpiece Concert Series. CONNECT! Club members can attend all five remaining Masterpiece Series concerts, bring a friend free of charge, and attend assorted special events throughout the concert season. A 2016-17 CONNECT! Club Membership is priced at $60 per high school or college student.
“It’s exciting to see children and young adults experience live music, many for the first time, and see the joy it can bring,” said Karen Gatchel, the education programs manager of the New West Symphony. “These special programs exist to expose young people and families to the beauty and power of music with the hope that they will make it a permanent part of their lives.”
