In 2016-2017 Tania Miller will celebrate her fourteenth season as Music Director of the Victoria (BC) Symphony in a position that she has occupied with great distinction and growing acclaim. As the first Canadian woman to be Music Director of a major Canadian symphony orchestra, Tania Miller and the Victoria Symphony celebrated the orchestra's 75th anniversary in 15-16 by touring Canada with performances in Vancouver, Ottawa, Quebec City and Toronto. Donato Cabrera has been the Resident Conductor of the San Francisco Symphony (SFS) and the Wattis Foundation Music Director of the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra (SFSYO) since 2009. In 2014, Cabrera was appointed Music Director of the Las Vegas Philharmonic Orchestra and has been Music Director of the California Symphony and the New Hampshire Music Festival since 2013. Joshua Gersen is currently the Assistant Conductor of the New York Philharmonic, as well as the Music Director of the New York Youth Symphony. He was previously the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation Conducting Fellow of the New World Symphony, where he served as the assistant conductor to the symphony's Artistic Director Michael Tilson Thomas and led the orchestra in various subscription, education, and family concerts, including the orchestra's renowned PULSE concert series. Fawzi Haimor

Fawzi Haimor was born in Chicago in 1983 and was raised in the Middle East and San Francisco Bay area. With a growing diary of international guest engagements, Haimor recently completed his tenure as Resident Conductor of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, where he conducted a variety of concerts including classical, pops and outreach. While in Pittsburgh, he served as a cover to esteemed conductors including Manfred Honeck, Leonard Slatkin, Gianandrea Noseda, Rafael Fruhbeck de Burgos and Jan Pascal Tortelier. Read More
